Dr Rajat Mukherjee

Rajat  graduated from the Royal Veterinary College London in 2005 where he was awarded the Frank Townend Barton Award (small animal elective) upon graduation. He worked in a Small Animal Hospital in Harrogate for a year before moving to Wood Street for 7 years. After a 2 year hiatus in the desert sands of Abu Dhabi working ina small animal hospital treating Tigers to Turtles, he joined Wood Street again in May 2016.

He is keenly interested in all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and aims to provide the highest level of compassionate care to his patients by keeping abreast of the latest developments in this field. His current interests are Intensive and Emergency care, Local anaesthesia and Analgesia, Anaesthesia of Critically Ill patients, and Airway surgery in Brachycephalic Dogs.
 
 He holds the RCVS Certificate (Master's equivalent) in Veterinary Cardiology and is studying towards a further RCVS Certificate in Intensive Care/Emergency Medicine.  He also practices Veterinary Acupuncture and is a member of several international Veterinary Organisations. In 2014 he was nominated for UK PetPlan Vet of the Year.

In his spare time he enjoys reading, going to the gym, travelling, scuba diving and photography.
