Dr Tony White BVSc MRCVS Clinical Director

Tony White graduated from Bristol University in 1992 and has been at Wood Street since August of the same year.

Tony enjoys all aspects of veterinary work but is particularly interested in surgery.

Minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery is now used more and more at the hospital. Tony and the team have been performing diagnostic and therapeutic keyhole procedures, as well as routine operations such as spaying for 10 years now.

Tony’s other main focus is orthopaedic surgery and the hospital now performs a wide range of elective procedures and fracture repairs. Tony is an active member of the BVOA ESVOT (British and European Orthopaedic and Traumatology Associations) and attends many of their meetings.

Apart from work, Tony is kept busy by his wife , three children, and a large number of rescued animals. The current tally stands at eight  dogs,  seven cats, seven  horses and two ex battery chickens.  The work the hospital does for the RSPCA and a wife who works for them, makes accumulating waifs and strays rather easy.

What little time he has left is spent either cycling, running or ferrying his children around!
